George Reilly J.D., LL.M. (Tax), CFP®

Principal
703-829-SAFE (7233)

Originally from Long Island, New York, George earned his bachelor's degree from Manhattan College and his law degree from Saint John's University School of Law. In 1997, George earned a Masters in Law degree from George Washington University School of Law with a specialization in income taxation and estate planning.

George is also a Certified Financial Planner™, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. upon completion of a rigorous CFP® certification process that includes demanding education, examination, experience, and ethical requirements. Although fewer than 5% of all of the CFPs in the U.S. also have a law degree, George recognized the importance of the financial planning process in preparing a comprehensive estate plan, and earned this certification in 2002 to enhance his legal practice. Safe Harbor Financial Advisors serves as a complementary business to George’s estate planning practice with both firms using a similar holistic approach to client needs.

During his 22 year Navy career as a member of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, George served as the Navy's Tax Counsel during three separate assignments. In that position he represented the interests of Navy leadership as well as Sailors and their families with respect to tax legislation, regulations, and policy. He also operated and later supervised the Navy’s electronic income tax filing program.

Dolores "Didi" Dorsett, CFP®, RICP®

Financial Planner
703-829-SAFE (7233)

Dolores “Didi” Dorsett joined Safe Harbor Financial Advisors in 2015, bringing over 25 years of experience leading organizations and people, managing diverse work forces, and planning and executing complex programs across the Defense Department and private sector.

She began her transition into the financial services field after previously serving as a senior manager with Boeing’s Defense, Space & Security team and retiring from the Navy following a 20-year career as a naval intelligence officer that included four tours applying her resource management experience and financial management sub-specialty.  During this transition, Didi earned an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning at Georgetown University.  She passed the Certified Financial Planner™ exam in July of 2015 and earned her CFP® designation in 2017.  In 2018 Didi earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation.

Early in her Navy career, a colleague introduced Didi to a fee-only, hourly planner and that experience began a journey that brought her to the Safe Harbor team.  She understands first-hand the value of sound financial planning and advice presented early in one’s career.  Implemented and adjusted periodically to meet evolving personal goals and economic conditions, such a plan can lay the foundation for financial independence and peace of mind.

Didi is passionate about offering comprehensive financial planning services tailored to meet each client’s unique needs, and believes that Safe Harbor’s fee-only, hourly planning model is ideal for those seeking professional, objective service with no account minimums.

Didi earned a bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Science in Management (Financial Management) from the Naval Postgraduate School.  She is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), and the Garrett Planning Network.  Didi lives in Northern Virginia and enjoys traveling and spending time in New Mexico.
